Sam’s the man . . . but no longer for Paulton Rovers, boss Bunyard admits
PAULTON Rovers supremo Nick Bunyard is coming to terms with life after Sam Teale.
The versatile defender, who has performed for Rovers’ rivals Clevedon Town and Mangotsfield United in the Southern League, looks set to exit Winterfield Road after only six months in order to ply his trade in Skrill Conference South with Weston-super-Mare.
Bunyard told Somerset FA News: We’re disappointed to lose him; he’s a really good lad, a young one who can only get better. Looking at it philosophically we’ve taken on Olly Knowles (midfielder) from Weston and we won the race with Weston to sign (centre-half) Tom Seery from Yate Town, so that’s life.
“While we don’t want to lose good players it says much about our club that teams of that calibre are taking note of what we have here.”
Looks like we could now have eight players !
