Seems that as part of the Clubs efforts to save money this season has resulted in
both the 'Official' Website and Facebook page being made redundant !
It will be remembered by older supporters that the Club Website underwent a massive
upgrade last year after complaints that the old one was never updated frequently enough
and thus was seen to be outdated and uninformative regarding news and information about the club and team.
Amid great fanfares the new site was launched, only for it to succumb to the same old failings !
The 'Official' Facebook page sadly seems to have gone the same way, whilst information regarding
the youth and Academy teams is both informative and entertaining, thanks largely to the efforts of
those involved with the teams, it seems the Admin for the first team, in a fit of pique has decided that
First team affairs and Club news are of no concern to any supporter not in the 'clique'.
Quite what opposing teams think when visiting the sites before playing us think I cannot imagine.
These sites are without doubt the worst possible advertisement for any club at both our level and even of those clubs
in leagues below us !
Somehow I don't think that this strategy is best suited for building a fan base.
I am of the opinion that we need a press officer who puts professionalism over personal feelings.
The club is in the public domain - it's time to stop thinking of it in terms of a personal toy and be proactive
in getting the message out there - that we have the best non-league team in the South West !
I shudder to think what next season will bring !
near a enough spot on pal , just to add the crap write on facebook re laird was horse shit , and i too am not looking foward to next season
